Bashar Ahmed
Bashar began his martial arts journey with intensive Shotokan Karate training at the age of nine. Throughout his early years, he distinguished himself by winning numerous Karate competitions, including two championship titles at the national level in Iraq. From 1995 to 1997, he represented Iraq as a member of the youth national karate team.
In 1996, Bashar ventured into Aikido and honed his skills at the Samurai Centre Dojo in Baghdad, eventually rising to the role of instructor. Upon relocating to Switzerland, he continued to impart Aikido knowledge at Aikido Zurich in Zuriberg under the esteemed Kurt Bartholet Sensei, 7th Dan. In 2019, he took on the role of the lead instructor at Aikido Budokan Zurich. Additionally, he regularly conducts Aikido lessons at the Obersee Bilinguale Schule (OBS), catering to primary school students and other age groups.
